Privacy & Policies

A short, plain-English note on what we do with your details when you book a game or subscribe for news. We are a two-person studio, not a data company — we collect the minimum we need to run a session and nothing more.

What we collect

• When you book: the name you'd like us to call you, your email address, your chosen city, date and time, party size, language, and anything you type into the notes box.
• When you subscribe for news: your email address only.
• Automatically: anonymous, aggregate statistics such as how many people visited a page and which site referred them. This involves no cookies and identifies no individual.

Why we collect it

• To confirm your session, reach you if a time changes, and answer your questions.
• To keep one party per session, so two groups never arrive for the same hour.
• To understand which pages people actually use, so we can improve them.

Who else sees it

We do not sell, rent or trade your details, and we do not send you marketing you did not ask for. Your information passes through only the services that make the site work:

• Netlify — hosts this site, keeps our session calendar so a booked time is blocked from being sold twice, and receives form submissions.
• Gmail — carries our correspondence with you.

Each of these is used to run the booking itself. Nothing else.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. If we enable audience statistics, we use a privacy-first tool that counts visits without cookies and without building a profile of you — so no cookie banner is needed.

How long we keep it

Booking records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting and for handling any later question about your visit, and are then deleted. Subscription emails are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your choices

You can ask us, at any time and at no cost, to show you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to us and we will action it. Unsubscribing from news takes one click in any email we send.

Children

Our games are designed for players aged four and up, and children take part as part of a family group. We collect a child's details only when an adult includes them in a booking note.

Booking, payment and cancellation

• No deposit is taken online. Reserving a session costs nothing today. You pay the full amount on arrival in China by scanning our merchant QR code, or in cash at the studio.
• Cancel 48 hours or more before your session: a full refund, or move to another date free of charge.
• Between 24 and 48 hours: 50% of the session price.
• Less than 24 hours, or no show: no refund, because the hour was held for you.
• If we cancel for any reason on our side: a full refund, always.
• All refunds return by the original payment route. All times are China Standard Time (UTC+8).

Changes to this note

If we ever change how we handle your details, we will update this page and the date at the top. We will not quietly start doing something different.
